The meeting of KIMO's national coordinators is designed to streamline and improve the practical operation of KIMO's international organisation. Coordinators from the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands & Belgium all meet to ensure each network's work is complementary to the development of KIMO as a whole.

It is important to ensure all national networks are working in tandem. For example, updates on KIMO's Fishing for Litter's international expansion, the development of international projects, such as KIMO's upcoming micro-plastics research project.
