KIMO has four main networks in Sweden, Denmark, UK and the Netherlands and Belgium. Each network has a Management Board, Chair and National Co-ordinator and meets three times a year to disscus policy and action on local issues. The Networks also lobby their National Government and Agencies on marine pollution issues which affect their country. For example KIMO Denmark has successfully lobbied for municipalities to receive compensation from the state for the cleanup of oil pollution on beaches where the source is unknown.
