KIMO membership is open to all municipalities in the North-East Atlantic and Baltic Sea regions.
Municipalities join KIMO to support our mission of uniting local governments, preventing pollution, and protecting, preserving and enhancing our seas and coastal waters.
We are a fully independent and democratic local government network, driven by the collective opinions and ambitions of our member municipalities. Would you like your municipality to join KIMO? Read on for more information.
Why join KIMO?
By joining KIMO your municipality will be demonstrating a commitment to positive solutions for some of the most pressing environmental challenges facing coastal communities. How can my municipality join KIMO?
If there is a KIMO network in your country, please contact the national coordinator for more information. Otherwise, please contact KIMO International for more information.
I’m a member of the public and my municipality is not yet a member. What can I do?
Firstly, thank you for your support!
If you live in Denmark, the Netherlands or Belgium, Norway, Sweden or the United Kingdom, then why not write to your local government representative. You could explain why healthy seas are important to you, and why you would like your municipality to join KIMO. You could also contact the KIMO national coordinator for your country to ask them for more information.
