Norway has been in KIMO’s DNA from the start. The Norwegian municipality of Vågsøy was one of the four founding members of KIMO back in 1990.
Today, the KIMO Norway network consists of the cities of Arendal, Farsund, Grimstad and Lillesand, located along the country’s southern coast. The city of Bergen, on the west coast of Norway, is also a direct member of KIMO International.
Like other KIMO networks, Norwegian members are concerned about protecting and preserving the marine environment.
Tackling plastic pollution and marine litter, delivering on climate ambitions and supporting natural ecosystems are all priorities for our members. Therefore, we work to address these issues together.

KIMO Norway supports beach and coastal cleaning initiatives, so locals and visitors can enjoy a healthy marine environment. Photo: Våre Strender (Facebook).
